2013 Australian General Election

Australia held its parliamentary election on September 7, 2013. All 150 seats in the House of Representatives were up for election, and a party needed to win at least 76 seats to form a majority government.

The Liberal-National Coalition won a landslide victory over the incumbent Labor Party, securing 90 seats in order to form the largest government since John Howard led the Coalition to a 94-seat victory in March 1996.
